Poster: Dredd

The Hollywood Reporter and the Cannes Film Festival bring us this sparky explosion poster for Karl Urban's Dredd.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really really really really want this movie to kick ass but I have some serious reservations.  Urban is an almost perfect choice for the character and the costumes look pretty badass, but can it all come together.  It's not going to quite make my Fistful of Fall Anticipation but it's right up there.

Teaser Trailer: Elijah Wood's MANIAC

Below is the very arty but still boringly obvious trailer for the Maniac remake co-written by Alexandra Aja.  The original Maniac was one of those films I sought out as a teenager, but can't bring myself to watch these days.  I remember some seriously awesome Tom Savini gore in that film and a really nasty gross performance from Joe Spinell.  But what can this remake offer me?  Creepy Elijah eyes?  Naw, I got all I need from killer Wood in Sin City.
