Can't believe I've never seen this before.  Discovered via Frankensteinia, this image from Mike Mignola is circa 1999.  Really beautiful, would love to see a print of this but I won't hold my breath.

Universal Studios 100th Anniversary Logo

There it is.  The new Universal Studios logo celebrating 100 years of movie making magic.  Honestly, no other logo (20th Century Fox takes a close second, though) means as much to my youth as Universal.  King Kong, Frankenstein, Jaws, Willie Dynamite, An American Werewolf in London, The Thing, Streets of Fire, Back to the Future!  To this day, when the globe starts to turn I get kiddie-like tingles of anticipation.  And then The Scorpion King starts to play and I realize the logo was the best part...Still, they made Doctor Detroit people!!!

And this new 100th Anniversary Logo out-epics all their previous designs.  Love it.
