Takashi Miike's 83rd Movie, Ninja Kids!!!

I'm still dying to see 13 Assassins and the Hari-Kiri remake, but already we have a new Takashi Miike film to anticipate--NINJA KIDS!  Add this to the What The Crap genre of Miike's varied career.  I've seen his other family films The Great Yokai War and The Happiness of the Katakuris and they are probably scaries and more demented than anything found in Audition or Ichi The Killer.  Anyway, watch the creepy trailer below!

Trailer: Takashi Miike's Harakiri

I haven't seen Takashi Miike's latest, 13 Assassins, but I'm already excited to see his new film Harakiri. A remake of Masaki Kobayashi original film, the story centers around a ritual suicide in feudal Japan. And it's gonna be in 3D!!!!!!! Okay, so WTF to that but I'm still interested to see the man behind a billion films (84 to be exact) tackle this subject matter.  We'll have to settle for the 34 seconds of teaser for now, and wait till Cannes for the critical praise.

Takashi Miike's 81st Movie, 13 Assassins!

Audition, Dead or Alive, Gozu, Izo, Fudoh, Ichi The Killer, The Great Yokai War, Sukiyaki Western Django.  There was  a time when I relished the grotesque madness of Takashi Miike, but these days I just don't seem to have the stomach for it.  That being said, his new film is a Samurai picture.  And I'm always down for a Samurai picture.
