Dork Art: Scott C's Big Rock Candy Mountain

Well, you have already missed your opportunity to purchase this nifty Scott C print from the Breaking Bad store, but if you hop on over to ebay then you can still get yours for $275.  Sigh.  Made in partnership with Gallery 1988, the print measures 16 x 20, originally cost $70, and is limited to 300 copies.  Like most pop culture phenomenons, I am late to the party with the hit AMC show, but over the last two weeks I've plowed through the first four seasons and will probably be all caught up when the final episode airs in six days.  Is it the greatest tv show that's ever existed?  I'm not ready to make such claims.  It's certainly addictive, and mean as all hell, but my Top TV Shows are still The Wire & Deadwood.

Dork Art: Danny Miller's Walking Dead

Artist Danny Miller takes on the zombies of The Walking Dead.  Gross.  They'll cost you $40 a pop or $120 for all three and they come signed by FX wiz Greg Nicotero.  Not sure if the Wife would like these up on the walls, but it can't hurt to ask.  Haven't watched last night's episode yet, but I'm looking forward to Rick & Co to get off The Farm.

Dork Art: Mark Draws The Walking Dead

Mark Hammermesiter has been outdoing himself lately with his Basil Gogos inspired prints for Universal's Dracula and Frankenstein, but he might have outdone himself with this exceptional piece of The Walking Dead.  I literally just finished the latest episode, "Cherokee Rose" (way to go, Glen!) and I'm just jonseing for more.  Thankfully I've got Mark to keep my appetite wet.

Bonus Video:  Check out the mad minds at KNB rig the Well Zombie from last night's episode!

For Your Consideration--Yer Damn Right!

Okay Internet, let's make this happen!  Over at Michael Rooker Online a campaign is warming up to achieve what I might once have thought impossible, Get Michael Rooker A Gold Statue!  The man is a "That Guy!" god appearing in some of my all time favorite genre rolls.  Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer.  Days of Thunder.  Clliffhanger.  Mallrats.  Slither.  And his turn as the vile Merle Dixon in AMC's The Walking Dead was an absolute highlight of the series.  It's time to walk the red carpet Rooker!  And I do love these For Your Consideration posters.
