"More Extensive Than Extended?" - Super Bowl Movie Trailers!

I don't much care for football.  I work every Super Bowl.  I let my sports fanatic friends have their parties.  But what I do love is coming home to all the crazy cool movie trailers, and as far as film geekery is concerned, it looks like this might be one of the best Pigskin Tournaments yet.  I love the airline disaster of the Iron Man 3 trailer.  I'm thrilled by the destruction of the Enterprise in the Star Trek spot.  And even The Lone Ranger got a chuckle from me.  But the trailer of the night has to be Fast and Furious 6.  It's got tanks.  Explosions.  Cars vs Jets.  Explosions.  And The Rock jump punching.  I'm not going to fool myself.  Star Trek Into Darkness, Pacific Rim, and Iron Man 3 are my most anticipated films of the summer.  But - and I'm just amazed by this fact - Fast and Furious 6 is a close fourth at this point.

Super Bowl Trailer: John Carter

Huh.  This Super Bowl trailer for John Carter is the first one to actually get me pumped for the Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptation.  Why is that?  Not sure.  The editing just seems to get the tone right for me.  Or maybe Taylor Kitsch is just wearing me down.

Super Bowl Trailer: Ghost Rider 2

Directly below is the Super Bowl trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and right below that is the new TV spot.  I just love all the ridiculous fire & explosions and "No Cape.  No Tights.  No Face."  No problem, I say.  Just two more weeks, folks till we can bask in the glory.

Super Bowl Spot: The Avengers

So yeah, some Football got played or something tonight.  I don't care about any of that.  What I do care about is this kickass Avengers trailer.  Are those Skrulls I see?  New Iron Man armor?  Scar Jo has a pistol!?!?!  Man, oh man I want this movie to be good.  Make it happen Joss Whedon!
