"They Want What We Want!" - Dawn of the Planet of the Apes goes to WAR!
If I wasn't already pumped for the latest Planet of the Apes, I am positively rabid for it now. This is certainly the film I wanted to see the first time around. I actually dig the original Serkis venture, but I never really wanted to see the origin of the Heston Nightmare - just another anti-scientist Frankenstein plot. No, it's gotta be Ape vs Man. Caesar vs Gary Oldman with a little dash of good human Jason Clarke. WAR! APOCALYPSE! APES ON HORSES! This is the stuff.

Cope and Dalton Predict The Oscars!
Okay, I probably found this more funny than I should have but there ya go. Cope and Dalton point their special blend of creepy at this year's 84th Academy Awards and they're depiction of Sad George Clooney had me full on belly laughing. Matt was near by and he just looked at me like I was crazy. And then Ryan Gosling has his final word and I lost my mind.

Two More Trailers For Apes and Conan
There are no two movies more feared or dreaded in the Dork Household than Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the new Conan The Barbarian. As we've said before, the original films are much beloved here at ITMOD and even though on one level it's exciting to see two of our favorite franchises get some love it's also terrible cuz these new trailers below are not really speaking to our fanboy hearts. I will say that it's nice to see the red stuff in the Red Band trailer for Conan and I do like listening to Ron Perlman talk about the ways of the Cimmerian. And with each trailer for Apes I go back and forth. I like the look, I hate the look. Very confused emotionally. What do you think?

Full Trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes!
I'd be lying if I told ya I wasn't just a little excited for this new Apes movie. Yes, even though I can't stand the science-run-amuck narrative and I'm sad to see CGI chimps over the classic makeup f/x I have a deep rooted love for this franchise and I'll go back for more no matter how foul it looks. And this really doesn't look terrible. It's got potential. In the new trailer below you'll see more of Andy Serkis' mo-cap Ceasar as well as John Lithgow and Brian Cox. Can't wait to see what they do here, probably just throwaway supporters but you never know.
