Ben Wheatley's Kill List was one of the more disturbing films I saw last year. I only got the one glimpse, but it stuck with me year round and it's about time that I snagged the blu ray. Well, it looks like his latest is going to be another head scratcher to trouble the senses. A Field in England is set during the English Civil War, and details the madness that ensues after a group of soldiers feast upon a mushroom field. Wheatley is describing the film as "psychedelic" and I'm all for that Solomon Kane hat sprouting violent, traumatic insanity. Bring it on.
