This last couple years have been pretty brutal for fans of classic Doctor Who. So many beloved actors and actresses have passed, many still painfully young. And now another is added to that list.
Mary Tamm played the first Romana, during the Key to Time mega-arc. The haughty, competent Time Lord served as a worthy foil for the often frumpy and cantankerous Doctor. Though only on the show for a season, she certainly left an impression. And she had a lengthy career outside of the venerable science fiction series.
