I’m a late comer to Hitchens, having only really discovered him in his last few years. But it didn’t take me long to form a strong opinion about the caustic, belligerent, opinionated writer. He was a genius contrarian; full of piss and vinegar, always willing to drop some knowledge, and not afraid to point a finger at anyone’s warm fuzzy BS blockers. He gave no quarter and he asked none.
There’s really nothing I can say about the man that hasn’t been said by others far more eloquent than I could ever be. So, I’ll just give a few samples of the man himself.
